Hi there!
Yesterday I created a different sort of card for my 2nd entry into the SuperStar Card Contest by My Favorite Things! I’m going to save this one and send it to my cousin after she undergoes her breast cancer surgery in a few months. She is a big time animal lover and especially loves her kitty cats! As soon as I saw the Feline Better stamp kit by My Favorite Things, I knew I had to make a card for her!
I created the “3-D” card front by cutting a piece of white cardstock at 4 1/4″ x 11″ and I scored it at 2 3/4″ and 8 1/4″. Then, on the “flaps”, I cut down the fold just to the point where the top of the fence would be. After completing the card front, I attached it to a standard 4 1/4″ x 5″ white card base.
In addition to the “Feline Better” stamp set and coordinating die set, I used the following dies by My Favorite Things: Blueprints 5 (tag for the Feline Better sentiment), Woodgrain fence & Fresh Cut Grass.
I used the following Copic markers for the little girl and kitty: E000, E15, E18, E25, Y21, R81, V15 & V17.
For the background, I used Tim Holtz Distress inks: Tumbled Glass and Shabby Shutters. I also used the Shabby Shutters to ink the grass.
I hope you enjoy this little card as much as I enjoyed making it! Please let me know if you have any questions. Until next time, Happy Crafting!
So cute…. I am certain Cindy will love it!

I love the way you created the “gate fold” card with the fence… I’ve always wanted to do that.

Hi Connie! Thank you for commenting! I am new to blogging and I definitely have not made any videos…It scares me ~ LOL!!! At any rate, I will attempt a video this coming weekend…EGADS! Did I just say that?!!! If it doesn’t turn out well, would step by step instructions with a picture for each step work? I will do my best to make a video though!
